CSK Discloses Asbestos Related Litigation, Other Claims ------------------------------------------------------- Published December 27, 2002 CSK Auto Parts reports that, together with other automobile manufacturers, automotive parts manufacturers and other retailers, it has been named as defendant in several asbestos related lawsuits. The Company responds to the controversy by saying that currently and from time to time it is involved in other litigation incidental to the conduct of its business, including asbestos and similar product liability claims, slip and fall and other general liability claims, discrimination and employment claims, vendor disputes, and miscellaneous environmental and real estate claims. The damages claimed in some of this litigation are substantial.
